Mr. Darryl Gallardo - Instructor

Mr. Darryl Gallardo has been practicing martial arts for over forty years, having started learning “garage” martial arts in 1978. He moved to Camarillo in 1980 and met friends, where we trained in another “garage dojo”. In 1984/85, he started training, traditionally in Korean Tae Kwon Do.

In the late 1980s, Mr. Darryl trained at different gyms in different forms of martial arts, which include Wushu Kung Fu, grappling, and boxing. In the early 1990s, he resumed training in traditional Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido under the tutelage of Grand Master Jong Hak Yi. where he also earned his 2nd Dan in both arts. He began training in Jiu-Jitsu in 2006 and has trained under several instructors such as Craig Husband (Former Undersheriff for Ventura County Sheriff’s Department), Dana Charvet, Bas Rutten, Kevin Randleman, and more.
